Spherical Al-based powders (e.g., AlSi10Mg, AlSiMg) offer low density and good thermal/electrical conductivity. In AM they deliver high productivity, fine feature resolution and good surface quality; heat treatment can balance mechanical properties. Suitable for series production such as heat exchangers, housings and lightweight structural parts. Thermal spray can produce lightweight coatings for wear and corrosion protection.
